Libraries are important!

Welcome to the first post from the Little Literacy Librarian!

This website is a work in progress but I wanted to share the link to the Pew Research Center’s findings on Parents, Children, Libraries and Reading.

“The ties between parents and libraries start with the importance parents attach to the role of reading in their children’s lives. Half of parents of children under age 12 (50%) read to their child every day and an additional 26% do so a few times a week.”

Read the rest of their findings here!

And please check back regularly for new posts and resources.
