This week’s app: Toca Band

Simply drag and drop instruments on to the stage to create your very own band! All of the instruments play the same tune, but have very different sounds.  The special yellow “spotlight” on stage will make the instrument even larger allowing the child to investigate how the sound is made.  Moving the instruments up and down the stage changes the tempo of their groovy beats!

Why it’s a GEM (Great Early Literacy Material):

Language is made up of sounds and rhythms which is why exposing your young child to music is so essential to early literacy.  Toca Band plays the same tune but the child can add some of their own as well.
