The way the babies play…on a Monday morning!

RRL 6.9.14 a RRL 6.9.14b
Rhythm & Rhyme Laptime couldn’t be more fun!
If you missed it…here’s a recap of what we did…

We read:
a_good_day
A good day by Kevin Henkes

Nursery Rhyme:
Baa, baa, black sheep,
Have you any wool?
Yes sir, yes sir,
Three bags full.

One for the master,
One for the dame,
And one for the little boy
Who lives down the lane.

Baa, baa, black sheep,
Have you any wool?
Yes sir, yes sir,
Three bags full.
From: Traditional

Fingerplay: “Here’s a leaf”
Here’s a leaf, (one hand up, palm flat)
And here’s a leaf, (other hand up, palm flat)
And that, you see, makes two. (wrists together, as if on a stem)
Here’s a bud, that makes a flower, (fold hands into one big fist)
Watch it bloom for you! (unfold fingers as if blooming)
From: What’ll I do with the baby-o?

Bounce: “This is the way the ladies ride”
This is the way the ladies ride
Jiggety jog, jiggety jog
This is the way the ladies ride
Jiggety, jiggety jog!

This is the way the gentlemen ride
Gallop-a-trot, gallop-a-trot
This is the way the gentlemen ride
Gallop-a-gallop-a-trot!

This is the way the farmers ride,
Hobble-de-hoy, hobble-de-hoy
This is the way the farmers ride.
Hobble-de-hobble-de-hoy!
